Earlier Shameema said the “people of Kashmir always witness such hardships during the Governor’s rule.”

She added that entire Kashmir was reeling under darkness due to unscheduled power cuts.

“People in Kashmir are suffering due to unscheduled power cuts. Some areas are just supplied two hours power. The scenario in Srinagar is no different.  Power here is curtailed for hours together,” she added.

The protestors also held candles in their hands as a mark of protest against the power outages. “PDP is responsible for present situation in Kashmir. PDP sold everything to BJP and RSS to remain in power.”

“We also demand end to civilian killings in Kashmir. The situation is deteriorating and there seems to be no accountability. We reiterate our demand for revocation of laws including Armed Forces Special Powers Act,” she said.
