Edu Deptt suspends 4 teachers for unauthorized absence

The local Education department on Thursday suspended four teachers of different schools in Khawas zone after they were found to be absent from duty.

Different teams of the education department, led by Chief Education Officer Chowdhary Lal Hussain, inspected various schools of Khawas zone, one of the most far flung zones of the district.

An officer of the department said, “During inspection, Iftikar Ahmed from High School Kundal, Anwar Hussain and Shakoor Hussain from Middle School Marhutta and Toseef Ahmed from Middle School Kotegali, all teachers, were found absent from duty and have been placed under suspension.”

It was also learnt that the teacher found absent at High School Kundal had not been to the school since July 20, 2017, while the teacher in the Primary School Doba has been absent for three months.

"Besides the absenteeism, a number of schools were found to be running in shambles as the students could not answer most of the simple questions put forth,” the officer said.
