Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Sunday said excessive use of social media sites increases the risk of mental health problems.

President DAK  led Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement said frequent use of social media negatively impacts mental health.

“Research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine found the more time you spend on social media, the more likely you are to be depressed,” he said. “Handing your child a smartphone pushed them to get glued to their phones which is taxing for young brains," he said.
