Amid the ongoing students protests across Kashmir in support for justice to Kathua rape and murder victim, authorities have decided to suspend class work at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), and many colleges and Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) in different districts including summer capital of Srinagar.

Officials said IUST and Kashmir University have postponed all examinations scheduled for April 19.  The fresh dates for deferred examinations will be announced separately, officials said.

The class work will remain suspended in all colleges of Srinagar, Budgam, Beerwah, Magam, Sopore, Handwara, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Sumbal.

No class work will be held in HSS in Srinagar, Budgam town, Beerwah, Magam, Sumbal, Anantnag and Bijbehara towns, all HSS Dialgam village,Boys HSS Sopore and Boys HSS Dangiwacha,  HSS Shopian town and HSS of entire Pulwama district,  Boys HSS Kulgam and HSS in Ganderbal

“All coaching centres will remain closed in Anantnag town,” said deputy commissioner Anantnag.

According to deputy commissioner Baramulla, classwork will remain suspended in all degree colleges and higher secondary schools in Baramulla and Sopore including HSS Pattan, Dangiwachi, Dangiwacha.
