A day after youth’s body was mysteriously found near a dam, on Wednesday his family held a protest here demanding arrest of culprits involved in their son’s killing.

The family members of deceased Sameer Ahmad Dar (24), whose body was found from a dam at Yousmarg under mysterious conditions held a protest outside Deputy’s Commissioner’s (DC’s) Office in the district.

The relatives of Sameer demanded culprits involved in the killing should be arrested forthwith.

They also alleged police of “callousness”. “We had already informed local police station Charar-e-Sharief about Sameer’s sudden disappearance,” they said adding that immediate steps should be launched to nab the culprits involved in his (Sameer’s) killing. Meanwhile, DC Budgam Syed Sehrish and senior police officials pacified the protestors and assured them of speedy investigation in the case.
