Government re-designates top posts in police service

According to an order issued by the Home department, the post of IGP human rights has been re-designated as commissioner, investigations and human rights.

Government re-designates top posts in police service

For officers of the police service, the government on Thursday re-designated the post of inspector general as commissioner and deputy inspector general as additional director or director.

According to an order issued by the Home department, the post of IGP human rights has been re-designated as commissioner, investigations and human rights.

Similarly, the four DIG-rank posts have been re-designated as directors or additional directors.

The post of DIG state vigilance organisation has been re-designated as additional director, vigilance organisation. The post of DIG home guards/civil defence and state disaster response force, Kashmir has been designated as director, civil defence and SDRF, Kashmir.

The post of divisional commandant, home guards Jammu has been upgraded and re-designated as director home guards, Jammu. The post of divisional commandant home guards Kashmir has been upgraded and re-designated as director home guards Kashmir.
