Funeral prayers in absentia held for Maqbool Bhat’s associate

Funeral prayers in absentia were held in Srinagar for Riyaz Dar who breathed his last today at Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir.

Scores of people, including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik, participated in the prayers held at Lal Chowk.

Dar, according to a JKLF spokesman, was a close associate of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and remained in jail for 14 years.
