CRPF man dies in Awantipora road accident

The accident took place when CRPF vehicle tuned turtle on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Kachachkoot.

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was injured on Saturday in a road accident at Kachachkoot area of Awantipora township in Pulwama district. He was shifted to Primary Health Center (PHC) Awantipora where he succumbed to his injuries, said an official.

The accident took place when CRPF vehicle tuned turtle on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Kachachkoot.

Locals rushed to the spot and helped the CRPF men to come out from the vehicle.

The deceased trooper was identified as Gulab Chand of CRPF 130 battalion.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and the body of the deceased was sent for legal formalities.
