Tunisia music band to perform in Jammu on December 18

Internationally acclaimed music band form the Republic of Tunisia is all set to vibrate Jammu with their scintillating performance on 18th of December2017  at 5 pm here at Abhinav Theatre. 

 The programme is organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Ministry of External Affairs Government of India in association with J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages.

 Giving details the Regional Director of ICCR J&K, Balwant Thakur today informed that , “In its endeavor to bring world to India, particularly to Jammu, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, (ICCR)  is bringing an International cultural group from Republic of Tunisia  to Jammu for its performance on 18th of December, 2017 and the performance is being held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu at 5 pm in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Culture and languages”. 

Balwant further informed that this will be the 11th world country to perform in Jammu after the inception of ICCR in Jammu.

 Giving details about the International performance of Tunisia, Balwant Thakur informed that Tunisia is the smallest country in North Africa, and is bordered by Algeria to the west, Libya in the southeast, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east. 

He also said, ICCR is bringing a music band ‘Chassen Azaiez and his Band’ from Sfax city of Tunisia. 

The group is born out of the basic idea, “Spread music that not only draws upon the Arab music heritage in general but the Tunisian in particular”, added Thakur .
