Release pending salary of watch, ward employees: MPEJ to BSNL

The members of the Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice (MPEJ) in a press statement issued here today have strongly assailed the functioning of BSNL in J&K due to its errant & poor system and alleged that functioning of the organization  in all spheres be it rent of towers, watch & ward remuneration etc is worst .

Refreing to watch & ward staff, members said that instead of increasing the watch & ward wages, the BSNL authorities have reduced the same from Rs 3500/= to Rs3000/= in urban and from Rs 3000/= to Rs 2500/= in rural areas whereas other companies have increased the wages to the extent of Rs.500/= in above slabs per annum.

They urged upon the concerned authorities to look deep into the matter and ventilate the sufferings of the concerned who surprisingly get their wages after 3 to 4 months instead of on monthly basis.

The members of MPEJ while expressing their dis-satisfaction over the working of BSNL authorities have appealed to the authorities of BSNL to personally intervene and redress the genuine grievances of these watch & ward employees’ of mobile towers of the site and also the owners of the sites of the towers & ensure that the functioning is tuned up properly so as to compete with other companies.
