Minister for health and medical education Dr Davinder Kumar Manyal said that the government is committed to provide better healthcare facilities to people at their doorsteps with emphasis on rural and remote areas.

 He said that the Centre has already raised the level of funding for the health sector in Jammu and Kashmir in cooperation with the state government, keeping in mind the objective of providing quality medical services and facilities to people living in the remote and small towns of the State.

The Minister was speaking while inaugurating an Ultrasound Unit at Primary Health Centre, Nud Samba. He directed officials from Health Department for mass awareness of various health care schemes so that people can avail maximum benefits.
