A female official of the Education department, serving as a master, has come to the rescue of students of two prominent government schools in Gursai area of Mendhar tehsil bu donating infrastructure worth over Rs 2.7 lakh.

A school official, while talking to Greater Kashmir, informed that Jagal has donated several infrastructural items in the school in just one-and-a-half month of her tenure.

Details revealed that she has donated two sets of sofa for school office, a large table, an office chair for the headmaster, 2 office chairs, a water tank, 2 small tables, a corner table, a small corner, window curtains and 2 cupboards. Besides, she also paid for the repair of water pipeline to the school and mats in the corridors.

"The approximate cost of the infrastructure she has donated to the school is around Rs 1.7 lakh," the official added.

Earlier, Jagal donated 90 desks to Government High School Ari, where she was posted before being transferred to GHS Pati Gursai.

Sharing her views with Greater Kashmir, Jagal said, “There was immense shortage of infrastructure in these two schools. There was an immediate need for desks at GHS Ari, while GHS Pati Gursai needed some added infrastructure.
