Punjab beat J&K by 4-wkts

J&K suffered its fourth consecutive defeat in the Women’s Cricket Under-23 T20 tournament  Thursday when they were defeated by Punjab by four wickets at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala.

Batting first, J&K were bundled out for below par total of 73 runs in 19 overs.  Rubia Syed and Nadia Chowdary with 21 runs each were highest scorers for them while as Bismah Hassan scored 11. For Punjab, Neelam Bisht took five wicket haul while as Sunita Rani took three.

In reply, Punjab despite losing early wickets were able to overhaul the J&K total in 16.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. Neelam Bisht with unbeaten 24 runs was highest scorer for them while as Priyanka Guleria scored unbeaten 16. For J&K, Akansha took two wickets while as Rubia and Nadia took one wicket each.
